[NOAA bullet] In what key ways do the CM2.x family of models differ from the older R15 and R30 models?

The differences are too numerous to list them all here, but in additional to having been developed from entirely new codes, the CM2.x models have finer grid resolution, more numerous and more sophisticated physics parameterizations, include the diurnal cycle, and do not employ flux adjustments.

More CM2.x model details will be found in papers appearing in refereed journals. As these papers are published in late 2004 and 2005, they will be listed on the CM2.x references web page.
