Table A3: 3-bourly 2-d atmosphere data (longitude, latitude, time:3hour at 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 Z)
3-hourly precipitation is an average over the 3-hour intervals, 0-3Z, 3-6Z, ... 21-24Z;
all other 3-hourly data are instantaneous "snapshots" at 0, 3, 6, ... 21Z.
